Instructions

In a saucepan, combine the cooked brown rice, milk, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice is soft and the porridge reaches a creamy consistency.

Serve warm, topped with stewed or canned fruit, prunes, chopped almonds, and a splash of milk if desired.
